Stock Photography Submission

There are many ways to make money with your digital Photography. For best results composition is extremely important. I am not a photography expert, but I have enough print and art experience behind me to know what will sell.

If you submit your photos to any online stock photography agencies that sell your work, there are many things that need to be considered. Each agency has their own set of guidelines in what they look for. The general submission guidelines will be similar to each agency. Compensation will of course vary from once agency to another.

To submit a photo to an agency, it takes a lot of thought before submitting your work. You will have to think about a title for your photo and key words where a search engine can find your photo. If you want to have good results I recommend you do a little research first on similar subjects you want to submit. Also look at photos that may be similar to yours and view them objectively. Is the color and composition similar to the other photos? What is it about my photo that stands out? By answering these few simple questions and doing the research, this will save you time by submitting something that would be automatically rejected.

Diversity is the key to getting paid for your work with stock agencies. You don't have to limit to just one agency, you can submit to multiple agencies if you wish. And keep in mind that timing can also be a factor in when you submit your work. It's a good idea to find out what the agencies are looking for before you submit your stuff.
